The activity opportunities are fun, fun and more fun with the children having a choice of what to do when at our holiday club.

We believe in providing an age-appropriate, child-led environment for children aged 4-14 years old.

Any child from any school can attend our holiday club the period before they start school reception class.

Pricing

All prices are correct as of February 2024 but are subject to change.

Lydiard Park Academy - Every school holiday.

8 am - 3 pm session: £24 per child.

8 am - 6 pm session: £28 for the first child and £24 for a sibling.

All children require a packed lunch, with a snack being provided at approximately 4 pm for those children staying with us for the longer session.

There is also the option on a Friday of purchasing a McDonald's Happy Meal instead of providing a packed lunch.

Badbury Park Primary School - Every school holiday.

8 am - 3 pm session: £20 per child.

8 am - 6 pm session: £25 for the first child and £21 for a sibling.

All children require a packed lunch, with a snack being provided at approximately 4 pm for those children staying with us for the longer session.

Any promotions cannot be used in conjunction with any other offer and are only valid for one week and cannot be spread over several weeks over a holiday period.

Please only book the childcare that you require, a 10 percent deposit is required at the time of booking, we do not offer any cancellations with a refund during the holiday period. The remainder of fees are due upon arrival and can be paid in cash, childcare vouchers or a cheque. There are no card facilities on site.

All bookings need to be made via our website and all reserved spaces are charged for.

We also have a tuck shop available to all children where sweets and treats range from 2p-£1. The cash for this must be paid to the front desk in the morning. We recommend providing 25p-£1 for your child.

What activities are on offer?

At The Big Adventure Club, we strive to provide children with new and unique opportunities each day that they attend.

Below is just a selection of some of the activities that we provide.

These activities are available on a daily basis with additional activities added based on the children's interests as well as external resources, separate activities are also brought in such as a visiting farm, street dance lessons, fairground games, and inflatable obstacle courses.

Sports: dodgeball, basketball, football, cricket, team games, dance.
Imaginative play: dressing up clothes, dolls, animals, cars, home corner.
Tabletop games: snooker, table tennis, and air hockey.
Consoles: Xbox 360's, Xbox ones, Playstations, and Nintendo Wii's, all with age appropriate games.
Quiet areas: books, movies, board games, creative opportunities, sensory toys, blackout tents.
Construction toys: Lego, knex, marble run.
Arts and crafts: painting, chalking, face paints, coloring, Hama beads, bracelet making, junk modeling.
Sports hall: bouncy castles, bouncy castle slide, bounce pad, sports equipment, archery.
Outdoor: sports equipment for a variety of team games and health and fitness, buckets and spades for the sandpit
Disco room: karaoke, disco lights, party music, glow sticks, cinema screen, and popcorn.

Something for everyone

Our activities and resources provide fun for all ages. From sport fanatics to creative artists, they'll love our Easter club, summer club and half term activities.

Where are we based?

We have our main holiday club based in Lydiard Park Academy in West Swindon.

In addition during the school holiday periods of Easter, Summer, and Christmas we are also open at Catherine Wayte Primary, the Colebrook schools, and Even Swindon Primary for the Swindon Borough Haf scheme. These limited sessions can also be booked independently if you are not part of the Haf scheme.

Frequently asked questions

We are based at various locations across Swindon. Lydiard Park Academy, Catherine Wayte Primary, Colebrook schools, and Even Swindon Primary.

The majority of our staff in possession of childcare qualifications and First Aid is mandatory for all of our staff. The Big Adventure Club is Ofsted registered so insurance as well as all of the other legal requirements that make us outstanding in place.

No, you book only the days that you require.

With our Lydiard Park Academy holiday club, you can pay on a weekly basis when you arrive in the morning of your first session for the week, or you can pay daily, our remaining clubs will ask for payment as you book, either in full or a 10% deposit is required.
