The Big Adventure Club provides after-school care for children aged 4 -12 years old.
We provide a service for:
Abbeyfarm Primary, Badbury Park, Brookfield Primary, Catherine Wayte Primary, Colebrook Infants and Juniors, Haydonleigh Primary, Kingfisher Academy, Lethbridge Primary, Oakhurst Primary, Oliver Tomkins Primary, Priestley Primary School, St Leonard's Primary and Shaw Ridge Primary.
The process at the 'Big A Club' is designed to be as straightforward and accommodating as possible. Once you have decided which days you need childcare for the coming week, simply book and pay by Friday to secure your child's place. Payment is required in advance, ensuring clarity and commitment for both the club and parents.
On your chosen days, staff members will collect children directly from their classrooms, guiding them safely to the after-school club. Each unit tailors its routine slightly to fit the school's environment, but the emphasis remains on providing a welcoming and flexible service. For longer sessions, a fruit snack is provided at around 16:15, and children have the freedom to select from a range of indoor and outdoor activities, all planned with their interests at heart.
The after-school pricing is the same at all of our clubs, with two sessions available: a 4pm ending session or a 6pm ending session. You may collect your child at any time before the end of the session booked.
There are two booking/payment systems in place: some schools use our online system, with the bookings and payments due on a Friday by 10pm for any childcare required the following week.
While others operate directly with the club within the school. All sessions must be pre-booked and paid for a week in advance directly with the after-school club. Payment can be made in one of four ways: cheque, cash, childcare vouchers, or the government childcare tax scheme. Please note, there are no card facilities available onsite.
When approaching a half-term break, booking and payment must be completed before the break for the first week back at school. If payment is made via vouchers or the government childcare tax scheme, a remittance is required at the time of booking; this can be a screenshot or a printed hard copy.
Any new term September offers are only available to newly registered children who have not used our services before.
No credit is given for any sessions cancelled during the week.
All bookings and payments must be completed a week in advance, with the Friday of the preceding week as the cut-off day for bookings and payments. Any emergency bookings made after this time are subject to an on-the-week booking charge of £5 per day per child after school, and £2.50 per child per morning. This is at the discretion of the management team and is not intended for casual use.
